Define your ideal customer

Describe who you want to reach in plain language, let BeReach qualify people against it, and reuse the same profile across campaigns.

Your ideal customer profile (ICP) is the short description of who you actually want to talk to. In BeReach it is the yardstick every prospect gets measured against, so only genuinely-fitting people reach your review queue. You write it once in plain language, and the AI does the matching.

What an ICP is

Think of it as a clear answer to "who is worth my time?" You do not need filters, boolean strings, or a rigid form. You describe the person and the company in a sentence or two, and BeReach turns that into the criteria it uses to judge each prospect it finds from public data across the open web.

How to describe one

A strong ICP usually covers three things:

  • Role or title. The job you are selling to, plus close variants. "Head of growth" can also mean growth lead or demand gen manager.
  • Company type and size. The kind of business and its scale, for example early-stage software companies with 10 to 50 people, or regional agencies.
  • Signals that matter. The context that makes someone a good moment to reach out. Recent engagement on a relevant post, a recent job change, active hiring, or a specific tool in their stack.

Be as specific as you honestly can. The clearer the description, the sharper the qualification.

Name the signal, not just the title

Titles tell BeReach who someone is. Signals tell it why now is a good time. An ICP that includes a trigger like "recently changed roles" or "engaged with a post about the problem you solve" produces warmer, more relevant prospects than a title alone.

Here is one abstract example of a good ICP description:

Founders and heads of sales at B2B software companies with 10 to 80 employees, ideally ones that have posted about scaling outbound or hiring their first sales rep in the last few months.

That single sentence gives BeReach a role, a company profile, and a timing signal to work with.

How BeReach uses it

Once your ICP is set, BeReach qualifies every prospect against it before anything is drafted. It reads what is publicly available about the person and their company, weighs it against your description, and only moves genuinely-fitting people forward. People who do not match are set aside rather than messaged.

That means your review queue stays full of relevant candidates instead of noise. You review and approve every message, and approved messages send from your own connected LinkedIn account at a respectful pace.

Save it and reuse it

An ICP you like is worth keeping. You can save a profile and reuse it across campaigns, so a definition you refined once becomes the starting point for the next audience you want to reach. You can also adjust a saved ICP as you learn what a great reply looks like, and future qualification follows the update.
